VCR fittings are a type of face seal fitting. The sealing element uses a metal gasket manufactured by ***, providing high-purity metal-to-metal sealing, which enables leak-free service from vacuum to positive pressure ranges. The internal and external threads interlock to compress the flanges on both sides against the metal gasket, causing a certain degree of deformation in the gasket to achieve the sealing effect.

Features of VCR Fittings

VCR fittings offer high cleanliness (components undergo processes such as electropolishing and cleaning) and excellent sealing performance, making them particularly suitable for leak-free *** pure systems, *** vacuum systems, and high-pressure systems. Due to the use of metal sealing elements, VCR fittings have a wide rated operating temperature range (VCR fittings with SUS316L gaskets can withstand temperatures up to 537°C). VCR fittings are easy to install, feature a *** minimal disassembly gap, and can be repeatedly assembled and disassembled (though a new gasket must be replaced after disassembly).

The gland of VCR fittings requires welding to the TUBE pipe. VCR fittings are generally used in conjunction with automatic weld fittings. Automatic weld fittings (Weld Fittings) are used in areas where disassembly is not required, while VCR fittings are used in areas where disassembly is necessary (such as valves and equipment interfaces). Therefore, many manufacturers include both VCR fittings (metal face seal fittings) and automatic weld fittings together in their catalogs. Some manufacturers even refer to these two types of fittings collectively as Clean Fittings.
